Stacy-ann A. Allen-Ramdial, Ph.D. was born on the island of Jamaica. She attended high school in the U.S. and earned her B.S in Biology from Boston College, a Jesuit University, in Chestnut Hill, MA. She earned her M.A. (2010) and her Ph.D. (2013) in Pathobiology from Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Allen-Ramdial is a trained Molecular Virologist with a passion for improving domestic and international STEM education and STEM workforce diversity/development efforts. Dr. Allen-Ramdial’s passion stems from her unique experiences traversing the STEM pipeline as an immigrant, from a developing country, and as a woman of color.
